Bedfordshire UK based Yemi Elegunde’s new autobiography “Time Will Tell” (published by AuthorHouse) begins with a similar story – being kidnapped by his father.

“When I was just a little boy of seven years old, my younger sister and I were taken away from England by my dad without my mum's knowledge or consent,” says Elegunde. “We lived and grew up in Nigeria, and the only communication we had with mum was by letter.” His story from that point is marked with hardship, apprehension, ecstasy and self-discovery.

“Time Will Tell” is a revealing and deeply personal account of Elegunde’s life – a story that was not easy for him to tell, but one that he felt compelled to share. He says, “This book is the result of nearly 6 years of me writing down my memories of events that had played on my mind for close to 30 years. Writing and completing this story was very therapeutic for me.”

Parental childhood abduction, a prevalent and recurring issue in society, certainly takes its toll on the life of the child involved. Elegunde’s autobiography reveals to readers the lasting effects and the personal struggles of what it is like to grow up as the child in this unfortunate situation.

 About the Author

Yemi Elegunde was born in London, England in 1966. Before he had turned 8 years old, he and his younger sister disappeared from their home in London with their dad, leaving their mother behind. He grew up in Nigeria, Africa’s most populated country. Today he works as an IT sales manager for Western Digital, the world's largest hard drive manufacturer. He lives in Bedfordshire, South East England where, amongst his extracurricular hobbies, he is an experienced county FA referee. He has one daughter, Shaya.
